About OSINT Yourself

OSINT Yourself is an education and tools-directory site for open-source intelligence (OSINT) — the practice of gathering information from publicly available sources.

The site has three parts: Teach explains how OSINT techniques actually work, Warn helps people understand what their own digital footprint looks like from the outside, and the tools directory catalogues the software and services that do this work — tagged with cost, platform, and whether a tool is dual-use.

This site is under construction. Teach and Warn content is being built out in a later wave; the tools directory currently holds a starter set of anchor tools, hand-verified against their official sites.

Listing a tool in the directory is not an endorsement of any particular use of it. Many OSINT tools are genuinely dual-use: the same capability that helps a journalist verify a claim or a security researcher map an attack surface can also help someone stalk or harass another person. Dual-use tools are marked as such on every page they appear.
