Privacy

This site does not require an account to read anything, does not run advertising trackers, and does not sell visitor data.

Pages on this site are server-rendered from a small Postgres database of categories and tools. Browsing the site sends nothing about you to us. A few interactive tools — the findability checklist and the exposure-score quiz — save your progress in your own browser's local storage so it persists between visits; that data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. The only thing we actually collect is the optional newsletter, described below — and even that is just an email address you choose to give us.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address and the timestamps of when you subscribed, confirmed, and (if you do) unsubscribed — nothing else. It uses double opt-in, so an address is only added to the list after the confirmation link in the first email is clicked, and every email carries a one-click unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. We don't sell, rent, or share the list, and we don't use it for anything but the newsletter. The list runs on our own mail server; individual emails are delivered through Resend as the sending provider. If you'd rather not give an email at all, the same updates are on our RSS feed and changelog.

Third-party tools listed on this site

OSINT Yourself catalogues third-party OSINT tools for education and awareness. Each tool page links to that tool's own official site, which has its own, separate privacy policy and terms — using a listed tool means agreeing to that tool's own terms, not this site's.

Where a tool is dual-use (capable of both legitimate research and of harassment or stalking), that is stated directly on its page. Where a tool's function has an obvious defensive or privacy angle — for example, checking your own exposure rather than someone else's — that is noted as well.
