What you'll need

  • The URL of your Spokeo profile listing
  • An email address (Spokeo emails you a confirmation link)

Steps

  1. Find your profile and copy its URL

Search Spokeo for yourself and open the listing that shows your details. Copy the full profile URL from your browser — it looks like spokeo.com/Name/City/State/p… You may have more than one listing; each one has its own URL and has to be opted out separately.

  2. Submit the opt-out form

Go to spokeo.com/optout, paste your profile URL into the URL field, enter your email address, and click Opt Out.

  3. Confirm by email

Spokeo sends a confirmation email. Open it and click the link to complete the removal. Spokeo states requests are processed within 24–48 hours after this confirmation.

Will it come back?

Spokeo says it continually receives new and updated records from public sources, so your information can reappear later without notice. Treat this as a recurring check, not a one-time fix, and opt out any new listings that show up.

Spokeo is also listed in our tools directory. The same service that lists your details is one investigators use to look people up — which is exactly why removing yourself from it matters. See Spokeo in the tools directory →
